I went 6 for 11 the last time I took a crack at this. I'm hoping for better numbers this year. Here are my predictions. I'm not pulling for all of these films and actors but they're the ones my gut is telling me will take home Oscars on Sunday night.

Original screenplay: Little Miss Sunshine

Adapted screenplay: The Departed

Best foreign language film: Pan's Labyrinth

Best documentary: An Inconvenient Truth

Best animated film: Cars

Best supporting actress: Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls)

Best actress: Helen Mirren (The Queen)

Best supporting actor: Alan Arkin (Little Miss Sunshine)

Best actor: It's either going to be Peter O' Toole (Venus) or Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland). I'm going with Whitaker.

Best director: Martin Scorsese (The Departed). I think they're finally going to cut him a break.

Best picture: The Departed
